Honda CB300R||Urban Street Fighter||Review 2019

   Honda CB300R launched in India 

Finally, after ages, Honda 2wheelers India is taking care of its superbike enthusiasts in India. We were fed up of seeing only the scooter market being updated but that's okay because it is the scooter which makes Honda among the top scooter seller in India. Honda has taken a break from scooters and has woke up to see the true enthusiasts.

On 8th February 2018, Honda 2wheelers India has launched honda cb300r in the market. We will come to the price later first let us know what exactly is a CB300R.

CB300R is a neo cafe racer style motorcycle,which means that it will carry over the old cafe racers look being equipped with modern features.The motorcycle is a proper blend of retro looks and modern technologies.

Features

Let's start with the looks, it looks too modern yet carriers the retro charm. On the front, it is equipped with a round headlamp which is a led unit. It carries all its looks from its liter-class sibling the honda cb300r
. The bike is 2028 mm long, 888 mm wide and 1053 mm high. The seat height is at 800 mm and is adequate for all riders, shorter as well as tall. Low seat height to ride more confidently. Moreover, the bike is light at just 147 kg dry. The handlebar position is also neither too high nor the low slung. The bike is available in two colors for now cherry red and matte metallic grey.

The motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 286 cc engine. Max power produced by this engine is 30.45 PS at 8000 rpm and 27.4Nm torque at 6500 rpm. The motor is expected to be buttery smooth considering the quality levels of Honda. This engine would be a six-speed unit with 1 down-5 up pattern.

Break System

For stopping this powerful machine we need powerful brakes and honda made this bike with twin disc brakes. On the front, it gets 296 mm and on the rear, it gets 220 mm disc. The dual-channel ABS takes care during panic braking situation.the motorcycle gets 110/70-17 inch tire on the front and 150/60-17 inch on rear. The wheels are alloys rims supported with tubeless tires.

The suspension duty is taken care by upside down (USD) forks on the front and a mono-shock on the rear. The shock absorbers are also adjustable which something quite interesting. Good ride quality is also expected as this is a street fighter motorcycle. The ground clearance is a bit low at 151 mm.

Looking at electronics the bike is equipped with all the necessary things. We get a fully digital TFT color display which looks neat and offer a lot of display on it. The motorcycle gets a 10-liter fuel tank which is a smaller unit. The ABS get an IMU means inertial measurement unit, it monitors the speed of the vehicle and acts accordingly. This is a new feature in its segment.

The bike is a fully loaded package and is offered at 2.41 lacks ex-showroom Mumbai.

   Conclusion 

The motorcycle comes through CKD route to India hence there is a bump in price. The main rivals of honda cb300r are BMW310R and the KTM Duke390 which are offered at nearly similar prices.
