   Overview 

Benelli recently launched a new neo sports classic street-fighter called as leoncino 250. Its is based on its elder sibling Leoncino 500 and resembles the same.It is direct competition to Honda CB300R. To know more about CB300R click here.

Coming to Benelli, it is one of the oldest Italian manufacturers and produces some badass motorcycles of all category.Be it retro, sports, naked and even cruisers,Details of this Leoncino are as follows:

   Engine 

leoncino 250This eoncino 250 is powered by a Single-cylinder, 4-stroke, Liquid-cooled, 4-valves 249cc DOHC unit churning out 25.8 Ps of power and whopping 21 Nm of torque mated to a six speed transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch. The engine is supposed to be a refined one.The power is transmitted to 17 in alloy wheels through a chain drive system. The fueling is taken care by an Electronic fuel injection with a wide throttle body of 37 mm. 

   Chassis and Suspension 

Benelli Leoncino 250Benelli Leoncino is supported by a steel trellis tubular frame borrowed from its elder sibling.The front part of frame is exposed as seen in many Italians.
Suspensions are taken care by 41mm Upside down front forks and monoshock for rear.The mono-shock is pre-load adjustable hence we can tune it according to our liking. Wheels on this motorcycle are aluminium alloy rims of 17 inch diameter for both front and rear.
The motorcycle carries a short wheelbase of 1380 mm which will make it nimble.The overall length of the motorcycle is 2030 mm and width of 840 mm.

This benelli offers a front disc of 280 mm with four piston calliper and a 240 mm rear disc. The motorcycle is equipped with dual channel ABS.It offers a 150 mm section rear tyre and 110 mm front tyre.

   Aesthetics 

The motorcycle is a modern classic scrambler and looks exactly like one. It is quite similar to its elder sibling.Starting from front it gets an oval shaped headlamp and a minimalist front mudguard with a 3-d tiger emblem on it. The tank also looks from classic era still have a good cuts to hold onto. The seat setup used hear is a single unit seat and the seat is almost flat with little hump for pillion comfort.Moving back the rear fender is very minimalist with just tail lamp and turn indicators on it. It just have a small extension to give it scrambler look.

The license plate is mounted on fat rear tyre hugger and looks good. From the side the engine have been blackened out and even the radiator is black with black exposed frame and black USDs. It gives some extra detail to the motorcycle. The exhaust is aluminium finished with dual ports.It is expected that the sound output would be great.The bike really excels in this department. 

   Electronics 

Benelli Leoncino 250 As this motorcycle is modern classic it features many modern bits. Starting from front the headlamp unit is fully LED and even the turn indicators are LED. The design however reminds of the classics.The instrument console is a fully digital LCD unit and is visible in all conditions. The tachometer is round and speed is shown on the centre of tachometer. It even offers engine coolant temperature meter and a warning light for extreme high temperatures.

On the rear motorcycle features a very sleek LED tail-lamp. All the lights on this motorcycle are LED. For brakes there is dual channel ABS to take things under control.



 The motorcycle has been launched at a price point of 2.5 Lakhs ex showroom and is perfect looking at its only one competition.The motorcycle is available in four different colours Maroon, Grey, White and Brown.
