Introduction
Honda Activa 125 is a two wheeler automatic scooter launched by Honda 2Wheelers India in 2014. It is positioned higher than Activa 110 and Activa-i. It is a bigger and a powerful Activa. Honda Activa 125 is the first vehicle to meet the BS-VI norms in December 2019. This has caused a significant hike in the price and the emissions have decreased significantly. Honda also introduced some new features in this Activa. Lets know the Activa in detail.

Engine & Gearbox
Powering the Activa 125 is a fan-cooled, Bs-VI compliant 124cc fuel injected petrol engine. This engine produces 8 bhp of max power and 10.9 Nm of max torque. This engine is mated to a belt driven CVT transmission. It is one the first commuter scooter to get fuel injection. Programmed Fuel Injection (PGMFi) has multiple sensors and then the fuel and air supply is done according to the need to enhance the performance and fuel efficiency.
Styling
Activa 125 is a more handsome and macho looking version of the old Activa. It gets similar design cues which resembles the Activa but in a bolder form. We still get the full metallic body design as in the first gen of Activa. On the front, the front-apron gets sharper design and redesigned indicators. The chrome garnish on the front really makes it stand out.
From the side too, it is a activa but a bolder one. The Activa badge is done on a big chrome plate. The grab handle aluminium finished grab handle compliments the design.
On the rear we get a redesigned big tail lamp which continues the Activa legacy. The tail lamp extends on the side till the turn indicators.
Brakes & Suspension
Activa 125 is built on the same underbone chassis. On the front we get Telescopic Suspensions and on the rear we get 3-way adjustable mono-shock.

For the brakes, the Activa 125 is supported with drum brakes of 130mm dia on each wheel. On the top spec variant we get front 190 mm disc brake with floating calliper. The front wheel is of 12 inch with 90/90 mm front tire and 90/100 mm tire on 10 inch rim. There are optional steel and alloy wheels.
Activa 125 has an adequate ground clearance of 169 mm which is enough to hover over the bumps and bad roads. Seat height is low at 712 mm and weighs just 111 kg .
Features
1. ACG Silent Start:- Activa 125 is equipped with an alternating current generator which is an advanced technology. When starting the scooter, we do not hear any motor noises and engine starts silently.
2.Idling Start Stop system:- This features cuts off the engine when it senses that engine has been idling for long. And start again silently. This can be turned on or off.
3.Pass Switch:- New integrated pass switch on the controls.
4.Digital-Analogue Console :- It now shows us real-time mileage and distance to empty.
