Hero Passion Pro 110 


  Introduction

Hero Passion is a stylish commuter motorcycle launched by Hero Honda (then) in 2001. It has a curvy design and was stylish than other Hero models on sale like Splendor, CD100SS, CD-Dawn. It was then called as Passion Plus and had 97.2cc typical Hero engine Then few years later in 2008, it received black alloy wheels and revised stickers. Later they added a self start version to it and called it as Passion Pro. Then in 2012, Passion received a 110cc engine and named it as Passion X-Pro. It was on sale along with Pro. Hero here and now gave updates to the motorcycle. Now in February 2020, Hero Motocorp launched Next Gen Passion Pro. It replaces all the Passion motorcycles that were on sale. It is a complete different motorcycle but still serves the purpose it was built for.
Passion Pro rivals TVS Star City Plus, Honda CD 110 Dream, TVS Radeon, Honda Livo and Hero Splendor i-Smart 110.

  Engine & Performance

Next Gen Passion Pro is equipped by a new 113cc engine. It replaces the old 97.2cc and 109.5cc X-pro engine. The 97cc engine was the old Honda engine but Hero has came a long way and now developed their own engine. This 113cc engine is a vertical air-cooled fuel injected engine. It produces 9 bhp at 7500 rpm and max torque of 9.89 Nm at 5000 rpm. These engine are mid rangers and are meant to be commuted throughout the city traffic. Being a PGMFi, Hero still gives us a kick start lever. This engine is mated to a 4-speed transmission via muti-plate wet clutch.

  Styling


On the design front, this motorcycle is completely changed. It gets new stylish headlamp unit along with a powerful light throw. The design does not resemble any of the Passion till date. It is a fresh design. The suspension are 30 mm telescopic forks but the travel is now increased, by how much is not stated by Hero. Moving further, the motorcycle gets a muscular 10 litres fuel tank. It get plastic shrouds which were there in X-pro but now these are bigger. The engine is all black and we get a plastic cover for catalytic converter as well. The exhaust has been redesigned and gets a new metallic black cover on it. The rear springs are finished in red. The motorcycle features triple paint scheme.
On the rear, we get new stylish sleek looking tail-lamp. The number plate gets dedicated illuminating lamps due to sleeker tail-lamps. The grab handle is finished in black and it is a full size unit. The seat is long and wide enough to seat comfortably. It is 799 mm high which makes it accessible ton almost everyone.  Over all the bike looks stylish.

  Wheels, Brakes and Suspensions

Passion Pro is supported by new diamond frame chassis, earlier it used double cradle tubular chassis but now its gets a new chassis. Along with the wheels are now 18 inch alloy wheels, earlier they were 17 inch. The alloy wheels gets a 80/100-18 tires for both front and rear. For the braking, we have 130 mm drum brake for rear wheel and an optional 240 mm disc brake for front. The motorcycle is equipped with a CBS system. For suspension duties we have telescopic forks for front and dual hydraulic shock absorbers for rear.
