2021 Benelli Leoncino

DSK Benneli India finally woke up and started updating the motorcycle and making then BS6 compliant to sell over India. Last month we got the updated retro classic Imperialle and now its time for the scrambler. Benelli Leoncino 500 has been updated for India and lets have a closer look to it.

Engine

Starting off the engine, Benelli features a 500cc parallel twin engine which is now made cleaner and emit less pollutants. Surprising the power figures hasn't gone for a toss of greener engine. This 500cc produces 47.5ps and 46 Nm torque. Benelli says they have retuned the engine. It is mated a 6-speed gearbox.

Chassis

Rest everything remains intact like the older BS4 model, Let me brief you all about it. The motorcycle is supported by a tubular steel frame which Benelli calls as Lattice chassis. On the front we get 50 mm USD forks and a preload and rebound adjustable mono-shock on the rear. We get 17-inch alloy wheels for both front and rear. The front tire is 120/70 while rear is 160/60. These are really broad rubbers. For stopping it, we get dual 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc on rear.

Styling is also identical to BS4 Benelli Leoncino and the smaller Leoncino 250 which we reviewed earlier, to check it out click here. The motorcycle features LED all around, we get beautiful round headlamp with LED DRL and projectors. The tail lamp is is minimalistic and looks modern yet classic. There is a lion emblem on the front mud guard and makes it stand out. The tank is 12.7 liters and features a cool tank cap.
